The current advances within the IT (Information Technology) world is constanly growing. One of the main IT products that is oftenly used within education is A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) Generation. A.I. Gen is a simulation of human intelligence which uses codes and takes information form the internet to help you with research and any content that is needed for you to achieve and understand knowledge. This is a good and bad thing as some parts of A.I. can be very good and helpful, on the other hand the over use of A.I. can cause you to relay on it and you are unable to challenge yourself and your abilities.

Article by Jill Castek and Mike Manderino

In the article Teaching and Learning in a Digital World: Digital Literacies for Disciplinary Learning, Castek and Manderino (2019) emphasize integrating digital literacies with disciplinary literacies to enhance learning in today’s digital world. They highlight that digital tools enable collaboration, curation, and critical thinking within subject areas, allowing students to construct and share knowledge in authentic, networked ways. Teachers must develop both digital and disciplinary expertise through collaborative professional learning to design meaningful, technology-rich tasks. The authors argue that digital literacies are not add-ons but essential for engaging students in modern disciplinary practices. Effective teaching combines technology, communication, and inquiry to prepare learners for real-world digital contexts.
